Josh Safdie reportedly considered a supernatural alternate ending for Marty Supreme: a flash-forward to an older Marty at a concert with his granddaughter, where Milton Rockwell—played by Kevin O’Leary—would appear as a vampire and bite him. Safdie was quoted saying a prosthetic had been built for the scene. The ending was not used in the released film.
What was the scrapped ending of Marty Supreme?
Reports of Josh Safdie’s appearance on the A24 Podcast describe a planned flash-forward: Marty is older and at a concert with his granddaughter when Milton Rockwell, O’Leary’s character, appears as a vampire. The scene was to end with Rockwell biting Marty’s neck. ComicBook.com, No Film School and GamesRadar+ all attribute the account to Safdie’s podcast appearance.
What did Safdie say about the prosthetic?
Secondary reports reproduce Safdie describing the intended final image: “You’re on his eyes, we built the prosthetic for Timmy and everything, and Mr. Wonderful shows up behind him and takes a bite out of his neck, and that was the last thing in the movie.” Here, “Timmy” refers to Timothée Chalamet, who plays Marty; “Mr. Wonderful” is O’Leary’s nickname.
The quoted remark indicates that a prosthetic was built for the planned effect. It does not establish that the complete ending was filmed or finished. The original A24 Podcast recording or transcript is not independently confirmed here; the wording is reproduced by the three reports above.

Was the vampire ending in the released movie?
No. The reports describe it as an alternate or discarded plan, not the ending viewers see in the released film. The available accounts establish the planned premise and the prosthetic comment, but do not explain why the scene was dropped or who made that decision. They do not support attributing the change to test screenings, audience reactions, budget or a particular studio decision.
