Shueisha’s official Shonen Jump series page credits Jujutsu Kaisen to Gege Akutami, says serialization began in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 14 of 2018, and lists Satoru Gojo among the characters. VIZ’s official series page also credits Akutami and identifies Volume 30 as the final volume of the main manga.
Those publication facts establish the series and its character; they do not confirm a future plot event. The official sources cited here do not provide a statement tying the alleged art to Gojo’s return.

Why unrelated Gojo material does not confirm a return
Official Gojo-related products and reference books show that the character remains part of the franchise, not that a new story development is planned. The official anime-site goods listing describes a BANDAI SPIRITS Gojo/Geto figure as an amusement-facility prize with a January 2025 release. VIZ also lists the Jujutsu Kaisen Official Character Guide and The Official Anime Guide: Season 1. None of these listings says anything about the meaning of the alleged artwork or a character return.
Likewise, a VIZ-hosted message dated June 13, 2021 includes Akutami’s note about taking a roughly month-long serialization break. It concerns the break, not Gojo or this art, so it cannot be used as evidence for the theory.

What to conclude about Gojo’s return
The headline’s suggestion is not verified by the evidence it cites: the artwork is unidentified, and no attributable statement links it to a return. Treat claims that Akutami has confirmed or announced Gojo’s return on this basis as unsupported.
