Yes. The Fall Guy (2024) features original-series stars Lee Majors and Heather Thomas together in a mid-credits scene. They arrive as law officers after movie star Tom Ryder is exposed as the antagonist, giving the 1980s series a brief reunion without making the film’s characters the same versions from the TV show.
When do Lee Majors and Heather Thomas appear?
Stay through the main credits for the mid-credits scene. It revisits the aftermath of the reveal that Tom Ryder is behind the trouble and shows Majors and Thomas arriving to bring him to justice. The scene is an extra beat after the main story, rather than part of the film’s ending.
Director David Leitch invited both actors to take part. In a report for NBC Insider, Leitch recounted that Majors was excited about the remake and told him, “Whatever you do with it, I trust you. I’m a fan of your films.” TVLine also identifies Majors as a lawman and notes Thomas’s appearance alongside him. The film does not establish official character names for their roles in the scene, so they are best described as law officers rather than assigned names from the series.
Who were the original Fall Guy characters?
The ABC series The Fall Guy starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who also worked as a bounty hunter, alongside Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas as stuntwoman Jody Banks. It aired from November 4, 1981, to May 2, 1986, according to the Television Academy, whose series description attributes its information to Wikipedia.

Are the movie’s Colt and Jody the same characters?
No. The film borrows names and echoes, but substantially reworks the characters and premise. Ryan Gosling plays Colt Seavers, a stuntman who returns to a film set to help find missing star Tom Ryder. Emily Blunt plays Jody Moreno, a film director—not the stuntwoman Jody Banks played by Thomas in the series.
Universal describes the 2024 film as inspired by the 1980s series, while the Directors Guild of America calls it loosely based on the show. The shared name Colt and the name Jody are nods to the earlier work, not evidence that the film’s characters are continuations of the TV versions.

What other original-series callbacks are in the film?
“Unknown Stuntman”
The soundtrack includes Blake Shelton’s cover of “Unknown Stuntman,” the song associated with Majors and the original series. TVLine notes that the cover plays as the end credits begin. Universal’s film announcement also lists the cover among the soundtrack details.
A bionic sound cue
During a fight, a brief sound effect recalls the bionic power sound from The Six Million Dollar Man, another series starring Majors. In a Frame.io interview, editor Elísabet Ronaldsdóttir, ACE, said sound editor Mark Stoeckinger’s team added the cue and the filmmakers liked it. It is a separate audio wink, not part of the Majors and Thomas cameo.

Stunt work shaped by the source material
The film also foregrounds practical stunt work, fitting its Hollywood-stuntman premise. In a May 25, 2024 Q&A, the Directors Guild of America quoted Leitch saying the production aimed to do as much as possible practically to stay authentic to the stunt world. That production choice is context for the film’s connection to the series, rather than another cameo.
