Spoiler: Katherine Woodman won the Week 5 Power of Veto on Big Brother 27, according to CinemaBlend’s live-feed report published August 10, 2025. The available report does not establish that Katherine was a “new houseguest,” so that description is omitted.

Who won the Week 5 veto?

Katherine Woodman won the Power of Veto. The result was reported by Mick Joest at CinemaBlend on August 10, 2025, based on live-feed coverage. CBS’s Season 27 episode guide provides the season chronology but does not independently confirm this veto result.

Why Katherine’s win mattered

According to CinemaBlend, Head of Household Ava Pearl nominated Zach Cornell, Vince Panaro, and Keanu Soto. Ava had also floated Katherine as a possible replacement nominee, so winning the veto gave Katherine a chance to protect herself from that possibility.

The same report said Katherine did not want to use the veto and wanted Zach out. That is the report’s account of the live-feed situation and its interpretation of the strategy—not a confirmed explanation from Katherine or a final veto-meeting result.

How Zach’s secret power affected the week

CinemaBlend reported that Zach’s $10,000 premiere prize came with a secret power: if nominated, he could give the money to the Head of Household to remove himself from the block. The report described uncertainty about when he might use it; it does not confirm that he used the power or establish the eventual outcome of the veto meeting.

The report also recounted Rachel Reilly telling Katherine that Morgan Pope believed the house wanted to evict the showmance, while cautioning that Morgan had not said it in those exact terms. It should not be treated as a direct quote from Morgan.

Where Week 5 fell in Big Brother 27

CBS’s official Season 27 episode guide dates the premiere to July 10, 2025, and the finale to September 28, 2025. Those dates place the veto result within the show’s 2025 broadcast season; the Week 5 winner itself comes from CinemaBlend’s August 10 report.
