Apple’s 2024 U.S. year-end charts put The Daily at No. 1 among Top Shows, followed by Crime Junkie and The Joe Rogan Experience. Apple published nine separate top-ten lists on November 19, 2024, covering shows, series, episodes, sharing, follows, subscribers and channels. These are historical U.S. rankings—not a current chart or a global ranking.
Apple said its year-end charts were localized for listeners in nearly 100 countries and regions, but the rankings below are the U.S. lists in its announcement. The company did not disclose a ranking formula or say the lists represent downloads, so the positions should be read as ordinal rankings only; Apple published no audience totals or margins between entries. Apple’s November 19, 2024 announcement is the source for all nine lists.

Apple’s October 2024 explanation of the Series category provides that definition.

How to read the nine lists
The chart categories answer different questions, so a show’s position in one list does not imply its position in another. Top Shows ranks shows overall; Top New Shows separates out new shows; and Top Series covers narrative programs intended to be heard in sequence. Top Episodes lists individual installments, while Most Shared Shows and Most Shared Episodes distinguish sharing at the show and episode level. Most Followed Shows tracks follows, Top Subscriber Shows is the subscriber-focused category, and Top Channels ranks channels.
