The three Apple TV shows in the “returning soon” headline were Hijack, Drops of God and Shrinking. Their announced season premieres all took place in January 2026, so they are no longer upcoming as of October 8, 2026. Apple lists Shrinking season 3 as now streaming; current episode-by-episode availability for the other two is not established here.
Which Apple TV shows returned in 2026?
The trio spans three different kinds of story: a therapist-led comedy-drama, a hostage thriller and an international drama about wine and gastronomy. Their scheduled premiere order was Hijack, Drops of God and then Shrinking.

What to expect from each new season
Hijack: a new setting for Sam Nelson
The second season moves its central hostage crisis onto a Berlin underground train. Elba returns as Sam Nelson, carrying the story into a confined public-transport setting rather than repeating the first season’s plane scenario. The announced rollout began with two episodes on January 14, followed by weekly episodes through February 25. [9to5Mac, December 22, 2025]
Drops of God: an international wine drama
Drops of God is the option for viewers drawn to fine wine, gastronomy and an international cast of languages: the series uses English, French and Japanese. Its story centers on a high-stakes contest, and it is based on manga. Season 2 was scheduled to begin January 21, with weekly episodes through March 11. [9to5Mac, December 22, 2025]

The series follows a grieving therapist who starts disregarding professional boundaries and telling his clients exactly what he thinks. Apple’s official series description, in its February 2026 lineup, says he is “Ignoring his training and ethics” and making major changes to other people’s lives, “including his own.” Season 3 brings back the established ensemble and adds Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox. Apple’s February 3, 2026 slate lists the season as “Now Streaming.” [Apple, February 3, 2026]
