Apple TV+ earned nominations in all three leading program categories at the 76th Emmy Awards: drama, comedy, and limited or anthology series. The Television Academy’s category records list The Morning Show and Slow Horses in drama, Palm Royale in comedy, and Lessons in Chemistry in limited or anthology. Apple separately reported 72 nominations across its slate.
Which major program categories did Apple TV+ reach?
The 2024 nominations covered programs from the 2023–2024 eligibility year and were announced on July 17, 2024. The Academy’s key-categories document shows Apple TV+ titles represented in each of the leading program fields:
- Outstanding Drama Series: The Morning Show and Slow Horses.
- Outstanding Comedy Series: Palm Royale.
- Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series: Lessons in Chemistry.
That is the supported meaning of “every major category” here: breadth across these top program categories, not nominations in every major acting, writing, directing, or craft category. The Academy’s document covers key categories rather than every possible Emmy field, and it excludes some producer nominations from its counts.
