If you heard that hundreds of Berserk chapters were free to read, the offer was real—but it was a limited-time promotion in February 2025, not a verified offer available now. It covered more than 370 chapters in Japanese on Young Animal Web; the available information does not establish whether free access is active in October 2026.
What was the Berserk offer?
CBR reported that Young Animal Web made more than 370 Berserk chapters available to read for free in Japanese beginning February 14, 2025. The report described a limited-time promotion, not a permanent change to the series’ availability. It included then-current Chapter 379, so that chapter number belongs to the 2025 promotion and should not be read as a current count.

The same limitation applies to the current release schedule: the available listing does not establish what has happened after its September 2025 episode entry. Do not treat the historical promotion or listing as confirmation of a current chapter schedule.

Look for the collected volumes
Hakusensha’s official Berserk comics listing includes Volume 43 and describes its story context. The Young Animal Web listing also displayed 43 collected volumes. Those are observations from the official pages surfaced in the available information, not a verified October 2026 total or a statement about a particular retailer’s stock, edition, language, or price. Check those details before purchasing.
