What connects the trickier words?

Some groups rely on a word’s less immediate meaning. In the blue set, “book,” “dip,” “jet” and “split” can each mean to leave quickly. The purple set combines names of measurement units rather than words that look alike.

How Connections works

Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four based on a shared link. The game uses color-coded difficulty tiers, from yellow through green and blue to purple, and allows up to four mistakes, according to TechRadar’s guide.
