Poehler portrayed Pam Bondi, and Fey portrayed Kristi Noem. The sketch framed them in a mock Senate hearing: Bondi addressed senators, deflecting questions and insulting them, before Fey appeared as Noem. Coverage described the sketch as drawing on political headlines, including Noem’s account of shooting her dog and the government shutdown.
