NYT Strands puzzle #732, for Thursday, March 5, 2026, has the theme “That’s it?” and the clue “Not very much.” Start with the spoiler-free hints below; the spangram and full answer list are farther down.

Hints for NYT Strands #732

Theme clue

“Not very much.” The answers are words for something small, meager or negligible.

Words to find for an in-game hint

Try spotting DING, THANKS, STEAM, PART, PARTY or HAIL. These are suggested non-theme words that can help unlock hints; accepted words may vary by game version or locale. Strands awards an in-game hint for every three non-theme words found, according to Parade and Try Hard Guides.

Spangram placement

The spangram has nine letters. TechRadar reports that it first touches the left edge on row two and reaches the right edge on row five.

Spoiler warning: spangram and answers below

Spangram: GEETHANKS

Theme answers: PUNY, MEAGER, PALTRY, SCANT, PIDDLING and NEGLIGIBLE.

How the answers fit the theme

The six regular answers are near-synonyms for an amount or thing that is small, meager or negligible. GEETHANKS compresses “Gee, thanks,” connecting the theme “That’s it?” with the sense of receiving something unimpressive or insufficient. That is an interpretation of the answer set, rather than an additional definition supplied by the game.

How the spangram works

Parade reproduces the NYT instruction: “The spangram describes the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. It may be two words.” Here, the nine-letter GEETHANKS spans from the left edge to the right edge.

These answers are for the historical March 5, 2026 puzzle. The answer list is corroborated by TechRadar, Try Hard Guides and Parade; the theme and puzzle identity are also reported by WePC. These are secondary answer guides, not a readable official archive.
