How Strands hints work
Strands is described by the answer guides as a word-search-style game played on a 6-by-8 grid. Trace connected letters vertically, horizontally, or diagonally; you can change direction as you form a word. Theme words turn blue, while the spangram turns yellow. The full solution uses every letter in the grid once.
If you get stuck, finding three valid non-theme words of at least four letters unlocks a hint that highlights one theme word.
