About the Mini
Holt describes the Mini as a shorter version of the larger NYT crossword, usually with three to five clues in each direction on a five-by-five grid; some Saturday puzzles are larger. His June 2025 guide says it could be played on the NYT website or app and that archived puzzles required an NYT Games subscription.
