Yes. The WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle presented Rose’s dress and the Heart of the Ocean necklace as part of JAMES CAMERON – CHALLENGING THE DEEP, an exhibition about James Cameron’s ocean exploration and filmmaking. It opened on 23 March 2024; the available official information does not establish the main exhibition’s closing date or current ticket availability.
Which Titanic items were on display?
The WA Museum and the Western Australian Government identified two Titanic film artifacts in the exhibition: the dress worn by Kate Winslet’s character, Rose, and the “Heart of the Ocean” necklace. The official descriptions establish that the necklace was displayed, but do not independently confirm that it was the screen-worn necklace.
The exhibition was not devoted solely to Titanic. The costumes and props formed part of a wider display connecting Cameron’s filmmaking career with his deep-ocean exploration.

JAMES CAMERON – CHALLENGING THE DEEP opened at the WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle on 23 March 2024, according to the Western Australian Government’s opening announcement. It was produced by the Australian National Maritime Museum in association with the Avatar Alliance Foundation, as described by the Australian National Maritime Museum.

The museum also advertised a related Titanic dress-up and photo-booth activity for 23 March–28 July, but marks that activity finished. Those dates apply to the activity, not necessarily to the main exhibition; the available official pages do not give the main exhibition’s exact closing date. They also do not establish that tickets are currently available.
What else did the exhibition explore?
The exhibition placed Cameron’s films alongside his work as an ocean explorer. The WA Museum’s school-visits page attributes this description to Cameron: “I’m an explorer at heart, a filmmaker by trade.” The broader context helps explain why Titanic artifacts appeared alongside material about deep-ocean exploration rather than in a standalone costume exhibition.

Is this the same as Perth’s earlier Titanic exhibition?
No. The 2024 Cameron exhibition was at the WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle. A separate event, Titanic: The Exhibition, ran at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre from 12 December 2015 to 20 March 2016, according to the WA Museum’s archive page.
