Leanne is the Netflix sitcom at the heart of the comparison: it follows a woman rebuilding her life after her husband leaves, with family around her. That makes it a plausible next watch for Reba fans who want a family-centered comedy about starting over—but “perfect replacement” is a matter of taste, not an official connection or guarantee.
What is Leanne about?
Leanne Morgan stars as a woman whose life is upended when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. With help from her family, she begins again. Netflix describes the show as a 16-episode, multi-camera comedy inspired by Morgan’s stand-up; the episode count is stated in Netflix Tudum’s 2025 series guide.

Morgan is also a co-creator and executive producer. Susan McMartin and Chuck Lorre are credited as co-creators alongside her. The wider cast named by Netflix includes Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Graham Rogers, and Hannah Pilkes.
Why might Reba viewers give it a try?
The clearest connection is the broad setup: both comedies center on a woman dealing with a disrupted marriage and a changed family life. The comparison also rests on a family-centered lead and the role of a wider ensemble. That gives Leanne a reasonable “what to watch after Reba” case for viewers looking for another sitcom about a woman navigating a new chapter.

The resemblance should not be taken further than that. Leanne is not presented as a remake or sequel to Reba, and the available information does not establish that the two shows have identical comic styles, emotional balance, or quality. Whether it feels like a satisfying substitute depends on what a viewer liked about Reba.
What kind of comedy is it?
Netflix calls Leanne a multi-camera comedy and says it draws inspiration from Morgan’s stand-up. Morgan described the show’s approach this way: “Leanne uses humor to cope.” She also said, “Women my age are more resilient than ever. I hope they find hope in Leanne’s story.” Both statements appeared in Netflix Tudum’s series coverage.
Those descriptions point to a comedy built around resilience and a difficult life change, rather than a claim that every episode is purely light or that it matches Reba’s tone. Netflix Tudum also points readers interested in Morgan’s personal story to her memoir, What in the World?! A Southern Woman’s Guide to Laughing at Life’s Unexpected Curveballs and Beautiful Blessings.

Netflix’s official catalog currently lists Leanne as a two-season comedy. The “new-to-Netflix” wording reflects its 2025 debut; it is no longer a newly arrived title. Netflix Tudum announced on June 24, 2026, that Season 2 would return on August 27, 2026, and the current catalog listing reflects two seasons.

Who is most likely to enjoy it?
- Try it if: you want a multi-camera family sitcom led by a woman rebuilding her life after a major relationship change.
- Keep expectations flexible if: you are looking for a close match to Reba’s particular characters, tone, or storytelling. The shared premise supports a recommendation, not a promise of equivalence.
