Lost was filmed on Oʻahu, and fans can visit several locations associated with the series—but access varies. Public beaches and visitor attractions are different from private ranch land and institutional facilities, and a location appearing on screen does not mean it is open to visitors. The property said to be for sale in the original headline has not been identified by a verifiable listing, so that claim cannot be confirmed here.
Where was Lost filmed in Hawaii?
Oʻahu is the island to plan around. The Hawaiʻi Film Office lists Lost among the television productions filmed on Oʻahu: Hawaiʻi Film Office: Television Series and Specials Shot in Hawaii. The locations below are a supported selection, not a complete inventory of every filming site.
Production permits and filming locations do not establish visitor access. Hawaiʻi’s film office explains the state’s role in production permitting, but visitors still need to follow the rules of the landowner or attraction: Hawaiʻi Film Office: Locations.
Can you visit the beach camp from Lost?
Papaʻiloa Beach, also called Police Beach
A 2007 location report identifies Papaʻiloa Beach, also known as Police Beach, with the survivors’ camp. It describes a route from Papailoa Road and a longer walk from Haleʻiwa Beach Park, but those directions and details about parking, security, and conditions are historical—not a guarantee of present access. The report says to remain on the beach or public beach access and warns that surrounding land is private. Before setting out, check local signs and current conditions; do not cross private property. The walk may involve sand and rocks, so shoes that are easy to slip on and off are a practical option. Go Visit Hawaii: Finding filming locations for the hit television series LOST on Oahu

Mokuleʻia Beach and YMCA Camp Erdman
The same location report names Mokuleʻia Beach as a crash-site filming area and the mustard-yellow houses at YMCA Camp Erdman as the Other community. These are leads for fans, not a promise that the camp or any particular filming spot is open to the public. Confirm current access and visitor rules before going, and do not enter camp or private areas without permission.
Which Lost locations are on Kualoa Ranch?
Kaʻaʻawa Valley
The location report places Hurley’s golf-course and van scenes, along with other scenes, in Kaʻaʻawa Valley at Kualoa Ranch. Because the valley is on ranch property, use an authorized ranch tour rather than attempting to enter independently. The report points visitors toward the ranch’s Movie Sites and Ranch tour; check the operator’s current tour description to confirm which locations it visits.

Moliʻi Fishpond
Moliʻi Fishpond is another ranch-property location. A 2007 account describes reaching it from Kualoa Beach by crossing land without permission and recommends the ranch’s Taste of Kualoa Farm tour as the lawful way to visit. A 2019 review also describes seeing the pond on that tour, but it does not establish today’s route, schedule, or price. Check Kualoa Ranch’s current tour information before booking. Do you need a tour to see Lost filming locations?
Not for every location: the Papaʻiloa report describes beach and public-access routes, though its directions are old and should not be treated as current access instructions. For sites on private ranch land, such as Kaʻaʻawa Valley and Moliʻi Fishpond, an authorized ranch tour is the appropriate route described by the location sources.

Guided tours can also cover multiple island stops. KOS Tours’ page advertises a full-day Circle Island tour, a 5.5-hour North Shore tour, a five-hour South Shore tour, and a five-hour lighthouse hike, with Lost and other screen locations in their descriptions. The page displayed prices of $259 for Circle Island, $186 for North Shore, and $149 for South Shore and the hike when reviewed; these are page snapshots, not guaranteed current prices. Confirm the exact Lost stops, departure and pickup arrangements, admissions, duration, and total current cost with the operator. KOS Tours: LOST Tours & Movie Tours in Oahu, Hawaii

Is a Lost filming location in Hawaii for sale?
The claim that one of these places is for sale cannot be verified from the available property information: no specific site or active listing is identified. It would be misleading to guess which location the headline refers to or to present a sale as current fact. Treat the sale claim as unresolved unless a reliable listing identifies the property and confirms its status.
