David Haye, Gary Oldman and Daniel Day-Lewis are among the names most often linked to Millwall in fan discussions. But the available evidence does not verify them as current, self-identified supporters: the claims largely come from forum posts, anecdotes and older secondary writing, rather than statements from the people themselves.
Which famous people are reported to support Millwall?
The names below recur in discussions and articles about celebrity connections to Millwall. The evidence varies, so a reported link should not be confused with a confirmed statement of support.
| Name | What the source says | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| David Haye | A September 2024 AskUK discussion lists him among Millwall’s celebrity supporters. AskUK discussion | A claim made in a fan discussion; no direct confirmation is provided there. |
| Gary Oldman | The same September 2024 AskUK discussion lists him. AskUK discussion | A circulating claim, not a verified personal statement in that thread. |
| Daniel Day-Lewis | Named in the September 2024 AskUK discussion and in a 2011 blog that says he has an allegiance to Millwall. AskUK discussion; 2011 blog | Repeated third-party assertions, with no verification method or direct statement shown by these sources. |
| Danny Baker and Rod Liddle | A 2011 blog names both alongside Day-Lewis as celebrities with an allegiance to Millwall. 2011 blog | An older secondary claim; the page does not explain how the allegiances were confirmed. |
| Scroobius Pip and Lars Frederiksen | A 2022 North Stand Chat forum entry associates both with Millwall. North Stand Chat | A forum claim, not a direct confirmation from either person. |
| Blake Harrison | An AskUK commenter says they had seen him at games. AskUK discussion | An anecdote about attendance; it does not establish regular support or self-identification. |
| Marcus Mumford | An AskUK commenter links him to a Millwall fundraiser. AskUK discussion | An association with a fundraiser, which alone does not demonstrate support for the club. |
How strong is the evidence?
For a question about who is a “proper fan,” a person’s own clear statement of support would be stronger evidence than a third-party list. Repeated attendance can suggest an interest in the club, but being seen at a match does not by itself prove a lasting allegiance. A connection to a fundraiser is weaker still: it establishes involvement in that event, not necessarily fandom.
In the sources cited here, no named celebrity directly confirms a Millwall allegiance. That means these names are best described as reported supporters, not as a definitive or verified list. The evidence also does not support ranking them by how committed they are.

Does Theo Paphitis count as a Millwall supporter?
The Independent’s 1998 article identifies Theo Paphitis as Millwall’s chairman at the time. The Independent, 1998 That is a documented historical club role, not evidence in itself that he should be counted as a celebrity fan.

Fan discussions and retrospective lists help spread celebrity-football associations, but they do not all use the same standard. Some repeat a claim; others report an apparent sighting or a connection to a club event. Those are different kinds of evidence, and none should be presented as a person’s confirmed allegiance without a direct statement or stronger documentation.
