The Walking Dead crossover is already in Dead by Daylight: Rick Grimes and Michonne Grimes joined as Survivors in update 9.1.0, released September 26, 2025. Daryl Dixon is also available, but as a Legendary Outfit for Rick—not as a separate Survivor.
What The Walking Dead content is in Dead by Daylight?
The crossover includes two playable Survivor characters, character outfits, and exclusive chapter items. Behaviour Interactive’s official chapter page identifies the Sheriff’s Hat badge and Tank In Ruins banner as exclusive items for the chapter.

Is Daryl Dixon a playable Survivor?
Daryl appears as a Legendary Outfit for Rick. Behaviour’s July 29, 2025 outfit collection announcement also describes Bomber Jacket Rick, Hospital Gown Rick, and outfits for Michonne.

A Legendary Outfit does not add a separate Survivor or a unique set of perks. The Dead by Daylight Team explains that “Using a Legendary Outfit requires purchase of a pre-existing character” and that “characters that appear as Legendary Outfits do not have unique Perks.” For Daryl, that means the outfit is tied to Rick rather than serving as a standalone character.

How do you get the crossover?
The chapter is downloadable content, not a physical product. Steam’s chapter listing says it requires the base game, Dead by Daylight. Current price and other storefront details are not stated here, so check the listing for the terms that apply to your region and platform.
