Paloma has also discussed her own work with Sun & The Saint. In an interview on The Martin Sheen Podcast, she said she plays drums and provides background vocals with the band. She contributed bass lines and arranging to its first album, which she said she co-wrote with Reed Thomas Lawrence.
Her musical background and the band’s album
Paloma said she began playing trombone at nine, first in a classical orchestra and later in a jazz band. Watching a jazz drummer sparked her interest in drums; she recalled first playing them at a party when she was 13. She also mentioned using a cajón at casual acoustic gatherings.

Paloma’s family connection and an early acting appearance were documented in a 1996 Los Angeles Times profile. It identified her as Emilio’s daughter and reported that she was acting alongside him in The War at Home. That childhood credit is distinct from the later accounts of her work as a musician; it is not evidence that acting is her present-day occupation.
