Watch the five main Twilight films in release and story order: Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. There is no special timeline rearrangement needed for a first viewing.

This is the practical chronological order: the films’ release sequence follows the story. Hulu’s watch guide recommends watching by release date, and Rotten Tomatoes’ series overview traces the story from Twilight through the two-part finale. Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate also identify New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn – Part 1 as the second, third, and fourth installments.

Why the release order works
The films continue the same central story rather than offering competing timelines to sort through. Twilight introduces Bella Swan’s move to Forks and her relationship with Edward Cullen. New Moon follows those events, including Edward’s departure and Bella’s growing friendship with Jacob Black. Eclipse carries the conflict forward with Bella, Edward, Jacob, the Cullens, and the wolf pack.
The final novel was adapted into two films, so watch Breaking Dawn – Part 1 before Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Part 1 begins the finale; Part 2 concludes it. Splitting the story does not create a reason to move either film earlier in the sequence.

Release dates for the middle films
Dates are not needed to choose the order, but the distributor lists New Moon as released on November 20, 2009, and Eclipse on June 30, 2010. Summit Entertainment announced November 18, 2011, for Breaking Dawn – Part 1. These dates reinforce the installment sequence; for a first watch, the five-film list above is all you need.

Streaming catalogs change by country and over time, so a service carrying the films in one place or month may not carry them in another. Check the streaming services available in your location or look for a licensed physical release if you want to plan a complete marathon.
