The Apprentice, the reality competition series that helped shape Donald Trump’s on-screen business persona, arrived on Prime Video in the United States in 2025. Prime Video’s listing displays seven seasons, but streaming rights vary by country and can change, so check the listing for your location before you plan to watch.
Is The Apprentice on Prime Video?
Prime Video lists The Apprentice as a 2004 series and displays seven seasons on the catalogue page available at Prime Video. That page is in Spanish, so it does not establish what is available in every country. Amazon announced a US rollout of the first seven seasons in 2025; availability today depends on the current catalogue in your region.
The first season premiered on March 10, 2025, with additional seasons scheduled weekly through late April. The Associated Press reported the rollout plan, and BGR’s March 10 coverage specified the US launch and a schedule ending April 27. These are launch details, not a promise that all seven seasons remain available now.
What is the show about?
In the series, contestants take on weekly business challenges to compete for a job with The Trump Organization. The Associated Press described the first season’s prize as a $250,000 salary and a job with the company. Prime Video’s synopsis frames the contest as a competition to become Trump’s apprentice. Donald Trump and Mark Burnett are listed as producers on the Prime Video page.

Why did The Apprentice matter to Trump’s public image?
The series presented Trump as a decisive business boss, turning that persona into the center of a weekly competition format. The Associated Press characterized The Apprentice and its spinoff, Celebrity Apprentice, as having propelled him to national stardom and helped make his name a global brand. That is an account of the shows’ cultural impact, not proof that television alone made him famous or caused his later political success.
Trump’s comment about the Prime Video release, quoted by the AP from Amazon’s announcement, was: “I look forward to watching this show myself — such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!” Mark Burnett also praised the program in launch coverage, calling it “one of the best shows that I ever produced”; that was the producer’s promotional comment, not an independent critical assessment.
