Her return brought her closer to Jennifer Pedranti and Katie Ginella, while her long-running conflict with Tamra Judge remained unresolved and Emily Simpson voiced uncertainty about Rossi’s role in the season’s ending.
What is Gretchen Rossi’s current status on RHOC?
Rossi is not returning for Season 20, according to Peacock’s current RHOC listing, which names that season’s cast. Her most recent appearance was as a friend of the cast in Season 19—not as a full-time housewife. Bravo announced that return on January 29, 2025, and noted that Rossi had previously appeared in Seasons 4 through 8 (Bravo’s Season 19 announcement).

That distinction matters: Rossi’s Season 19 relationships describe how the show portrayed her return, not a confirmed present-day friendship with every cast member. Season casting can change; Peacock’s listing checked October 8, 2026, is the relevant guide to her formal status now.
Who did Rossi reconnect with during Season 19?
Jennifer Pedranti and Katie Ginella
Peacock described Rossi as re-entering the group through Jennifer Pedranti and Katie Ginella, with those connections helping shape her return to the series. That makes them her clearest on-show points of connection in Season 19, although it does not establish the status of their private relationships today. See Peacock’s Season 19 cast guide.

The wider group
The season’s conflicts and shifting loyalties did not yield one clear cast-wide position on Rossi. The reunion coverage instead showed varied reactions, including Emily Simpson’s uncertainty about what had happened at the end of the season.
Are Gretchen Rossi and Tamra Judge friends now?
The Season 19 reporting did not establish a reconciliation. Bravo reported that the two met on camera for the first time in 12 years. Judge said she wanted to move forward and did not want to revisit old drama; Rossi said she needed Judge to acknowledge the harm she believed had been caused before she could move on. Their stated conditions were different, and the later reunion coverage did not show them settling the conflict.

Judge described her approach to the first meeting this way: “So, I asked her the first time I saw her, like, ‘Can we move forward? Like, let’s move forward. I have no interest in going back 15 years.’” Rossi, in a confessional, said: “I don’t think that Tamra’s ever going to have true friendships until she can actually recognize what she’s done to harm people.” Bravo’s account of the meeting and their contrasting views is at its Season 19 coverage.
At the reunion, Judge took a more definitive public stance about friendship: “I don’t associate with people like that. I don’t want to be her friend. Ever.” Rossi said the finale had left her sad and with “such a bad taste in my mouth again.” Those are season-era statements, not independent confirmation of either woman’s private feelings now.

What did Emily Simpson say about Rossi?
Simpson said she saw positive qualities in Rossi but remained confused about the season’s ending and what was true. “There are a lot of positive things about Gretchen, but then I’m also very confused about what happened at the end and her standpoint and what’s true and what’s not,” she said in reunion coverage. Her comment indicates uncertainty, not a settled verdict on Rossi or proof of a broader cast consensus. Bravo reported the comments and the reunion-era positions in its Season 19 reunion coverage.

Andy Cohen said Rossi’s return followed her appearance on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. He rejected speculation that a rumor involving Scheana Shay was the reason: “We were all like, ‘Wow, it’s great to see Gretchen again. It would be fun if she [were] back on the show. I wonder if she would do it.’ That’s how it happened. It had nothing to do with Scheana.” Cohen’s explanation was reported by Bravo in its coverage of Rossi’s return.

Season 19 also included competing accounts around off-camera allegations. Those should be understood as disputed accounts, not established facts about the people involved. The available reunion coverage does not turn them into an independently verified account of what happened.
