The wording is specific: Sheen expressed regret about what he saw as his role in damaging the sitcom. It should not be expanded into a claim that he regretted every part of his time on the show; the reported quote does not say that.
How long was he on the sitcom?
The Los Angeles Times described Sheen as having starred on Two and a Half Men for eight seasons. His 2016 comment was retrospective, following his departure from the series.

What does the headline get wrong?
The sourced account identifies Sheen, a man, as the celebrity who made the regret statement. The available reporting does not identify a woman who made this remark or explain why the assignment says “Her.” The Guardian’s June 20, 2016 profile offers broader context about Sheen’s public conduct in 2011–12 and his departure, but it is not evidence of the precise wording he used on Today: The Guardian’s profile.
