Their public accounts include a memorable Halloween Horror Night date, different recollections of how their relationship began, and the birth of their daughter, Liberty, in 2021. Here’s what they have shared—and what the available accounts do not establish.
When did Cody and Brandi Rhodes meet and marry?
USA Network’s 2023 profile says they first met in 2011, when both were under WWE contract, and married in 2013. A contemporaneous WWE article published October 8, 2013, said Cody had recently married Brandi Reed, his girlfriend of two years. The accounts broadly align; WWE used Brandi’s name at the time.
In that 2013 WWE article, Brandi said she was proud of her husband. Cody described their mutual support this way: “At the end of the day, my wife is my biggest fan and I’m her biggest fan.” WWE’s October 2013 article
How do they remember the beginning of their relationship?
Brandi has recalled that the connection came quickly. In a 2023 profile, USA Network recounted her account from a 2016 Sports Illustrated interview: “Cody and I had a connection pretty quickly.”

Cody has cautioned that they do not tell the story identically. Speaking to TV Insider in 2023, he said, “I think it’s funny we have very different versions of that story,” and noted that their documentary discusses their courtship. Their separate recollections are part of the public account; the available sources do not resolve the differences into one definitive version. TV Insider’s 2023 interview

Yes. USA Network’s profile reports that they welcomed their daughter, Liberty, in June 2021. In a 2021 interview, Brandi said the name reflected their shared love of Disney, rather than being a reference to Cody’s patriotic persona. She also described Cody adjusting to fatherhood and said they had help from people around them. WWE’s 2021 interview with Brandi
What has Cody said about family life on the road?
In his 2023 TV Insider interview, Cody described the difficulty of balancing wrestling with time at home. He said, “One extra day at home marks a world of difference,” and noted that Brandi and their daughter had joined him on the road. That is his description of their arrangements at that time, not a current report about their schedule.
