Universal said the attraction features 14 animated figures; the most striking disclosed scale detail is Frankenstein’s Monster, which the resort describes as nine feet tall and more than 800 pounds.
What are the new Universal Monsters animatronics?
They are fixed, animated figures created for Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, a ride in Dark Universe, one of the themed worlds at Universal Epic Universe. Universal Orlando Resort announced the attraction’s figure count on October 29, 2024, naming 14 animated figures in the release body. The operator described them as “the most ambitious and life-like animated figures ever created”—promotional language, rather than an independently verified industry ranking. Universal’s announcement
The scale and story staging give the figures their appeal: one massive monster appears in the queue preshow, while others are presented as threats during a story about an experiment gone wrong. They are park attraction creations, not retail animatronics or consumer replicas.
Which monsters are in Monsters Unchained?
Universal’s announcement highlights Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, the Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Its ride description also names the Mummy and the Brides of Dracula among the creatures encountered in the catacombs. The announcement gives the total as 14, but does not identify every figure individually in the cited descriptions.

How do the figures fit the ride’s story?
Dr. Victoria Frankenstein invites guests to witness her attempt to control monsters. Dracula escapes, setting a horde loose; riders then try to evade the creatures in the catacombs beneath Frankenstein Manor. The figures serve that unfolding scene rather than functioning as a standalone display: the story introduces the experiment, turns it into a disaster, and brings guests into the creatures’ path. Frankenstein’s Monster: a towering queue encounter
Universal says Frankenstein’s Monster stands nine feet tall and weighs more than 800 pounds. Guests first encounter him walking through Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s lab during the queue preshow. That placement makes the figure part of the setup before riders enter the catacombs, and its reported dimensions make it the clearest example of the attraction’s scale.
