All three originally aired on ABC.
What “banned” means in this case
Boy Meets World ran for seven seasons on ABC from 1993 to 2000. Fox News reported that Disney Channel showed reruns from 2000 to 2007. The three episodes below are described in retrospective coverage as absent from those Disney Channel reruns; that is a narrower claim than saying Disney prohibited them everywhere or that they were never broadcast. Fox News’ 2022 account and other retrospective coverage use the “banned” framing, but no primary Disney statement explaining the decision is established here.

The three episodes commonly called banned
“If You Can’t Be with the One You Love”
The story follows Cory and Shawn drinking after Cory’s breakup with Topanga. The official Pod Meets World listing calls it the first episode “banned” by Disney Channel; that wording is podcast promotional copy, not an announcement from Disney. Rider Strong later discussed feeling uncomfortable while filming the episode. Read the official podcast listing.
“Prom-ises, Prom-ises”
After prom, Cory and Topanga consider having sex, then decide to wait. In a 2022 interview reported by Fox News, Strong criticized the adults on set for not discussing contraception or safe sex. Fox News quoted him saying, “I was very upset with the adults on our set, specifically the way that they were approaching this, specifically because we were not discussing safe sex.” This is Strong’s criticism of how the storyline was handled, not a documented Disney explanation for leaving the episode out of reruns.

“The Truth About Honesty”
This episode deals with intimacy and relationship boundaries: Cory and Topanga discuss taking their relationship further, while Shawn and Angela consider what they are comfortable with in their relationship. Retrospective coverage includes it in the commonly reported list of episodes omitted from Disney Channel reruns.

Use the drinking episode’s title rather than a season-and-episode number: published references conflict, with Slashfilm identifying it as season 5, episode 15, Seventeen as season 5, episode 18, and the podcast listing using “Episode 518.” The other two are identified by Seventeen as season 5, episode 22 (“Prom-ises, Prom-ises”) and season 6, episode 20 (“The Truth About Honesty”). Slashfilm and Seventeen give the conflicting numbering.
