The leak is now confirmed: LEGO Architecture Sagrada Família (set 21065) contains 12,060 pieces, making it LEGO’s largest set by piece count. LEGO announced the set on 4 June 2026 and scheduled its global on-sale date for 1 November 2026.
What the leak got right—and what changed
A March 2026 report identified the rumored set as LEGO Architecture Sagrada Família, number 21065, and cited a 12,060-piece count. Its early price and availability expectations were provisional: the report anticipated roughly US$600 and a July release, but LEGO later announced a US$799.99 recommended price and a 1 November 2026 sale date. Notebookcheck’s 18 March report is useful as a record of the rumor, not as the source for the final specifications.
LEGO officially confirmed the set and its 12,060-piece count on 4 June. As of 8 October 2026, LEGO lists it for preorder; it is upcoming, not yet on sale.

These specifications, prices and dates come from LEGO’s 4 June 2026 announcement. The set is designed as a substantial display model rather than a quick build: its sequence follows parts of the basilica’s development, including the Apse and Crypt, Nativity and Passion façades, naves, Western Sacristy and six towers, before finishing with the Eastern Sacristy and Glory façade. A stained-glass effect is also included.

What “largest LEGO set” means here
The record is specifically for piece count, not height or overall physical size. With 12,060 pieces, Sagrada Família passes the LEGO World Map’s 11,695 and the Eiffel Tower’s 10,001 in the June 2026 comparison published by Brick Fanatics. Those earlier counts are reported by that comparison, rather than confirmed by the LEGO announcement cited above.
The Eiffel Tower set, number 10307, is taller, so piece count and height describe different kinds of “largest.” The comparison does not establish that Sagrada Família is LEGO’s largest set by volume or footprint.

Why the model’s design follows the basilica’s construction
The build is arranged to evoke successive parts of the Sagrada Família’s architectural development, rather than presenting the basilica as a single undifferentiated façade. LEGO Architecture designer Rok Žgalin Kobe said, “We felt an immense responsibility to do justice to the Sagrada Família through this design.”
For a set this complex, the sequence also gives builders a way to encounter the structure section by section: from the Apse and Crypt through the façades, naves and towers, to the final Eastern Sacristy and Glory façade.
