Whether it is actually available on Netflix depends on your country: Netflix’s Canada and Ireland pages both say it is not currently available there. The “crushing it” framing is not confirmed by public Netflix viewing figures or a verified chart position.
What is the Christian Bale Western?
Hostiles stars Christian Bale as an Army captain ordered to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory to their ancestral lands in Montana. Netflix’s synopsis describes the destination as sacred tribal lands; STARZ identifies Scott Cooper as the film’s writer and director. The cast listings also include Rosamund Pike and Wes Studi on Netflix, and Pike and Jesse Plemons on STARZ.

STARZ lists the runtime as 2 hours 14 minutes. It is a dramatic Western centered on an uneasy, dangerous journey—not a Netflix original.
Is Hostiles on Netflix where you live?
Netflix’s country catalogs differ. Its title pages for Canada and Ireland both say Hostiles is not currently available in those countries. Those listings do not establish whether it is available in the United States or elsewhere.
#1 Best Overall
Check Netflix in your own country for the current listing. A title page—or its absence—in one market is not a reliable guide to another market, and streaming catalogs can change.
Where else can you look for the film?
Other platform listings surfaced for STARZ, Hulu, and Prime Video. STARZ presents a subscription option, Hulu has a film listing, and Prime Video’s listing describes UHD rental and purchase. These pages do not establish that the film is offered in every country, or that the same option is available to every account.

| Service | What the listing indicates | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| STARZ | Subscription path; runtime listed as 2 hours 14 minutes. | Whether the title and subscription option are available in your region. |
| Hulu | Film listing. | Whether the listing currently offers playback in your location and under your plan. |
| Prime Video | Listing describes UHD rental and purchase. | Local storefront availability and current rental or purchase terms. |
Is it really “crushing it” on Netflix?
That phrase works as a headline hook, but the available evidence does not verify a Netflix popularity claim. No Netflix viewing total or authoritative chart position was established. The defensible answer is that Hostiles is the Christian Bale Western in question; whether it is streaming on Netflix—and how well it is performing there—cannot be generalized from the country-specific listings.
