Jennifer Coolidge plays Sophie Kachinsky, a recurring character in 2 Broke Girls. The available cast listings establish her character credit; interviews with co-star Beth Behrs offer a little more context about Sophie and Oleg, but not a complete biography or account of Sophie’s story.
Who is Sophie in 2 Broke Girls?
Sophie Kachinsky is the character Jennifer Coolidge plays in the sitcom 2 Broke Girls. IMDb identifies Coolidge as Sophie in the series listing and in episode listings for “And the Broken Hearts” and “And the Window of Opportunity.” Those credits show that Sophie recurs across the series, but they are not a full official character biography. IMDb’s series character listing, “And the Broken Hearts” listing, and “And the Window of Opportunity” listing document the credit.
What do interviews say about Sophie and Oleg?
In a 2014 interview with CBS News, Beth Behrs described the show’s central pair as having met while working at a Brooklyn diner and said a romantic storyline involving Sophie and Oleg was developing that season. This is a snapshot of the show’s fourth-season context, not a summary of the characters’ full story. CBS News’ interview with Behrs provides that account.
Behrs also spoke warmly about the comedy between Sophie and Oleg, crediting the performers rather than making a universal critical claim: “I love to watch Oleg and Sophie, because Jennifer Coolidge and Jonathan Kite are such brilliant comedians, and together they’re amazing.” The quote appeared in a 2012 TVLine interview.

The cast listings and interviews support Sophie’s identity as Coolidge’s recurring character, a season-specific mention of her developing relationship with Oleg, and Behrs’s opinion of the performers’ comic pairing. They do not provide a detailed character biography, a complete account of Sophie’s ending, current streaming availability, or confirmation of a character-related product.

A September 2011 report from CBS New York noted that CBS had an official 2 Broke Girls site at that time. That historical report does not establish what the site contains today: CBS New York’s 2011 report.
