Tickets to see The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon are free. The main route is to request advance tickets through 1iota; if you are already in New York, limited day-of standby may also be available. Neither a request nor a standby card guarantees admission, so check the official listing and your confirmation before making plans.
How to request advance tickets
Rockefeller Center’s ticket guide, published April 24, 2026, identifies the 1iota lottery as the primary advance route. Start with the live official listing, since available dates and instructions can change.

- Create a free profile on 1iota and enter the requested details, including your date of birth.
- Choose from the dates shown as available and submit a request. You can request more than one date if your schedule allows; the guide does not provide approval odds.
- Check your email, including the spam folder, for a receipt, waitlist update, or approval. A waitlisted request may be approved if other guests cancel or change their plans.
- If approved, read the confirmation for your check-in window and all current instructions. Arrive within that window; admission still depends on capacity.
Rockefeller Center describes the process in its guide to getting tickets to The Tonight Show. NBC’s Help Center also directs people seeking live-taping tickets to its Tickets and NBC Studio Tour page, which lists the show. Use the live listing for current ticket dates and requirements.
Advance requests and day-of standby
| Path | How it works | What to plan for |
|---|---|---|
| Advance 1iota request | Request available dates through a free profile. A request may be waitlisted; approval comes with check-in details. | Plan ahead, monitor email, and be flexible about dates if possible. A request is not an admission guarantee. |
| Day-of standby | Rockefeller Center says limited tickets may be distributed on the morning of a show, first come, first served, at a location just off Sixth Avenue. | Check official updates before lining up. Standby admission depends on seats remaining after confirmed guests are admitted. |
The guide does not give approval or standby success rates, a fixed standby distribution time, or a precise current queue address. Do not treat a standby card as a seat reservation or assume standby will be offered on a particular date.

- Check-in: Follow the time window and instructions in your ticket confirmation. The guide advises arriving on time and says security screening should be expected.
