Byron Allen’s reported $82.5 million sale of a full-floor Manhattan apartment tops Architectural Digest’s list of the most expensive celebrity real estate transactions of 2025. The ranking also includes celebrity home purchases and sales, plus large land acquisitions, so it is not a list of ten homes bought by celebrities.

How to read the 2025 ranking

Architectural Digest published its “10 Most Expensive Celebrity Real Estate Transactions of 2025” on December 12, 2025. Its entries span different locations and asset types, and mix purchases with sales. The figures below are amounts reported by the magazine; they have not been independently checked here against deeds or closing records. This is a curated editorial list, not a comprehensive public-record census of celebrity real estate transactions.

The list is ordered by the reported transaction amounts, with Byron Allen’s sale first. Because the feature does not provide consistent square footage for all ten properties—and one entry is ranch land—a full-list price-per-square-foot comparison would be misleading.

The ten most expensive celebrity real estate transactions

Rank Celebrity and reported amount Transaction and property
1 Byron Allen — $82.5 million Reported sale in spring 2025 of an off-market, 6,600-square-foot full-floor unit at 220 Central Park South in Manhattan. Architectural Digest says Allen bought it in 2023 for $75 million; the difference between those reported prices is not necessarily profit, since costs, taxes, and other terms are not provided.
2 Mark Zuckerberg — at least $65 million Reported purchase of about 1,000 acres of ranch land on Kauai, Hawaii. The feature says the acquisition expanded his reported holdings there to more than 2,300 acres. This is a land acquisition, not a conventional home transaction.
3 Paris Hilton — $63.1 million Reported June purchase of Mark Wahlberg’s former Beverly Park estate in Los Angeles. Architectural Digest describes the property as a 30,500-square-foot home on six acres.
4 Jeff Bezos — $63 million Reported April sale of a 9,420-square-foot mansion in Hunts Point, Washington. The feature says Bezos bought it in 2019 for $37.5 million and calls the 2025 transaction a Washington state record; that record characterization is the magazine’s, not an independently established comparison here.
5 Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo — $60 million Reported October sale of the couple’s Georgian-style Montecito home. Architectural Digest says they paid $52 million for it in 2022.
6 George Lucas — $52.3 million Reported September off-market purchase of a mansion in St. John’s Wood, London. The feature says details of the dwelling are scant.
7 The Weeknd — $50 million Reported October purchase of a mansion in Coral Gables, Florida, with 1.24 acres and 574 feet of water frontage.
8 Robbie Williams — $40 million Reported summer purchase of a Miami waterfront home from former Real Housewives star Nicole Martin.
9 Jake Paul — $39 million Reported April purchase of a 5,653-acre ranch in Georgia. Architectural Digest says it includes a main house and three other homes.
10 Mark Wahlberg — $37 million Reported October purchase of Palazzo di Lago, an 18,000-square-foot mansion in Delray Beach, Florida. The feature describes it as a furnished, seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom property.

What the list leaves out—and why scope matters

A celebrity-focused ranking is not the same as a ranking of the year’s biggest U.S. home sales. Redfin’s January 5, 2026 list of the ten most expensive U.S. home sales of 2025 put a $133 million Naples sale at the top and said every home in its top ten sold for more than $60 million. That list is market-wide, not celebrity-only, and its inclusion criteria differ from Architectural Digest’s selection. The comparison shows why the $82.5 million figure should be read as the highest entry in this particular celebrity list, not as the year’s highest U.S. real estate sale. Redfin’s 2025 most expensive home sales list.

Levine and Prinsloo’s Montecito purchases are separate deals

The couple’s reported $60 million sale is distinct from two Montecito purchases reported by Realtor.com in December 2025. The outlet said they paid $17.27 million for a Spanish-style dwelling formerly owned by Oprah Winfrey; Oprah had reportedly bought it from Jeff Bridges in 2019 for $6.85 million. Realtor.com also reported a separate nearby purchase for $12.5 million. These are different transactions from the couple’s sale of their Georgian-style home, not part of its $60 million sale price. Realtor.com’s report on the Montecito purchase.

Realtor.com described the $17.27 million purchase as off-market and said the sale had initially been reported without identifying the buyer by Siteline Santa Barbara. It also reported that the couple planned extensive renovations; that is a reported plan, not confirmation that work was completed. Realtor.com’s account.

What the reported prices do—and do not—show

The figures make it possible to compare reported transaction amounts, broad locations, and whether a celebrity bought or sold an asset. They do not establish a uniform measure of property value: the list combines homes, an apartment, and ranch land, and supplies no consistent set of property sizes. Nor do the sale prices alone show what sellers kept after expenses or what buyers paid in additional costs.
