The vehicle is a road-going conversion of a 1962 Lockheed JetStar once owned by Elvis Presley. It arrived at the event by road, so it was a ground display, not an aircraft flying in.
When the Elvismobile appeared at Oshkosh
According to AOPA’s July 25, 2024 report, the Elvismobile reached AirVenture on July 20, 2024, after traveling roughly 1,600 miles to Wisconsin. It was driven in, not flown in or transported there by truck.
That distinction matters: the JetStar fuselage had been converted into a road vehicle. The 2024 appearance was a mobile exhibit on the ground, not an airworthy aircraft arrival or flight demonstration.
What the Elvismobile is
The project began with a 1962 Lockheed JetStar formerly owned by Elvis Presley. AOPA reports that Jimmy Webb, creator of the Jimmy’s World YouTube channel, mounted the fuselage on a 1999 Freightliner motor home chassis, creating the road-going vehicle known as the Elvismobile.

- Each model is unique. No two models are exactly alike
- Comes finished with high gloss Polyurethane.
In a WHBY interview published July 23, 2024, Webb said Elvis owned the JetStar in 1976, shortly before his death. Webb described making it mobile as a way to preserve it and let people see and enjoy it. His comments about the cabin’s preservation are his account of the project, rather than an independent inspection.
Is it coming back to a future AirVenture?
A past appearance does not confirm a return. EAA’s official AirVenture page lists July 26–August 1, 2027 as the next event dates, but the reviewed EAA material does not announce the Elvismobile as an attraction for that show. EAA’s January 8, 2026 announcement and its 2026 performers page likewise do not establish a booking for the vehicle.

- Includes injection-molded transparent parts (canopy, cabin windows, landing light fairings.)
- Decals and painting guide for a single camouflaged United States Air Force aircraft
- 1/144 Scale Aircraft
Anyone planning a visit specifically to see it should look for a current announcement from EAA or Webb rather than rely on the 2024 appearance. The available event information does not establish where the vehicle is now or whether it has a future touring schedule.
