Bloom: Luna Light Journey’s 2025 season at Joondalup’s Central Park was extended by one week, making Sunday, 2 November 2025 its final date. The planned finish had been 26 October. PerthNow reported the change on 15 October, citing nightly sell-outs and more than 40,000 attendees since the 26 September premiere.
Why Bloom’s 2025 season was extended
PerthNow reported on 15 October 2025 that strong demand had prompted the extra week. Its account said the event had been selling out nightly and that more than 40,000 people had experienced Bloom since it opened on 26 September. That attendance figure was reported by PerthNow; it was not presented as an independently audited count.
City of Joondalup CEO James Pearson welcomed the announcement, saying, “With the season now extended for another seven days, it’s a welcome announcement for first-time and return visitors.”
What the 2025 experience featured
Bloom presented a nature-themed story from the perspective of a native blue-banded bee. The outdoor experience combined interactive projections, lasers and soundscapes. Laservision, the show’s producer, later confirmed that an additional fifth week had been added after nearly every night in the first four weeks sold out.

Keep the 2025 dates separate from the 2026 season
The extension was for Bloom’s 2025 Joondalup season only: its original final date was 26 October, and the revised final date was 2 November 2025. Bloom returned for a separate 2026 season, with a different theme, Living Connections. The official event site lists that later season as running from 26 September to 25 October 2026; those dates are not the dates of the 2025 extension.
Planning a visit to the current season
For the 2026 season, the official Bloom site describes a fully outdoor trail at Central Park, a short walk from Joondalup Station. It advises visitors to arrive 10 minutes before their timed session, wear comfortable enclosed footwear and bring rain protection if needed. The walk usually takes 45–90 minutes, and the site says the trail is wheelchair- and pram-accessible. These are current-season details and may change; check the official event information before travelling.
