The Batman Part II is currently reported to open on February 18, 2028. That is the latest reported release date, following several earlier schedule changes. Warner Bros. and DC Studios also announced a temporary production pause in October 2026, but that announcement did not say the release date had changed again.

Why was the film delayed again?
The available reporting establishes that the release date moved, but it does not establish a specific reason for each schedule change. The July 2026 date update accompanied camera-test footage shared by director Matt Reeves; that timing alone does not show what caused the move.
Do not confuse those earlier date changes with the separate October 2026 production pause. Warner Bros. and DC Studios said production was temporarily paused while Reeves focused on a family matter. The statement explained the pause, not the earlier release-date shifts. Los Angeles Times · TheWrap
