Did “Ruin the Friendship” cause a falling-out?
Lovato released “Ruin the Friendship” in 2017 on Tell Me You Love Me. Entertainment coverage noted speculation that the song referred to Jonas, including an ELLE report from October 2017. That is an interpretation, not confirmation that the song was about him. The cited reporting also does not establish that the song—or any romantic tension—caused the two to stop speaking.
