Krissy Marsh named Sarah Snook her favourite encounter at the Emmy Awards, while her account of meeting Jennifer Coolidge was more mixed. In a PerthNow report published on 18 January 2024, the Real Housewives of Sydney star described the encounters and other people she saw at the after-party. These are Marsh’s recollections as reported by PerthNow, not independently verified accounts.
Sarah Snook was Marsh’s favourite encounter
Marsh called Snook “the Aussie from Succession” and said she was her favourite person to meet. She also described Australian actors as approachable when guests asked to talk or take a selfie. “They love for you to go up to them and ask for a picture…Aussies are not afraid to do that,” she said.
Marsh’s encounter with Jennifer Coolidge was more reserved
At the buffet, Marsh asked Coolidge for a photo. Marsh said Coolidge agreed, though she felt intimidated by the actor’s presence: “Oh my god, I felt like I was in the Queen’s presence, she’s quite an empowering, daunting figure.”
Marsh recalled that she had food in her mouth when she asked, while Coolidge did not: “We were eating at the buffet. She didn’t have a mouth full of food, I did – I said ‘Do you mind if I take a photo’ and she said ‘Yeah sure’”. Marsh said Coolidge was “not super fun,” contrasting that impression with her warmer descriptions of other attendees.

Marsh described Priscilla Presley as beautiful, warm and lovely, and called Elizabeth Debicki “super cool.” She also mentioned seeing Daniel Radcliffe enjoying the after-party. Her comments reflect her impressions of those encounters, rather than an independent assessment of the celebrities.
How Marsh ended up at the Emmys
According to Marsh, a friend working in entertainment in Los Angeles invited her to attend as a plus-one. She had packed two dresses in case the timing worked out; she said one of her friends wore one and she wore the other. She described the night as a blast.

Marsh also said guests were there to party together and did not seem especially concerned with who was who. In her words, “Everyone is just there partying together, no one really cares who’s who or you know, a little ol’ housewife that’s in LA for the night”.
