There is no verified, apples-to-apples ranking of the strongest women in wrestling today. The clearest recent peer assessment comes from wrestler Athena: she singled out Bianca Belair for athletic performance and Alicia Fox for pound-for-pound strength. Tatum Paxley brings a documented powerlifting background, though she says her present strength is below what it was when WWE hired her. Those are meaningful clues, not comparable current lift results.
What does “strongest” mean?
Strength can refer to different things: the heaviest weight someone can lift, strength relative to bodyweight, performance across athletic tests, or the ability to execute power moves in a wrestling match. Those measures do not produce the same answer.
A scripted match can show that a wrestler can perform a demanding move in a trained, choreographed setting; it does not establish a one-repetition maximum. A fair ranking would require wrestlers to take the same current tests under the same conditions, with results reported alongside bodyweight and testing date. The available accounts do not provide that comparison.
Who has the strongest recent peer testimony?
Bianca Belair: athletic combine performance
In a Fightful interview published May 21, 2026, Athena recalled competing with Belair at the WWE Performance Center. She said Belair beat her in nearly all their combine events, with Athena winning only one or two of twelve. Athena called Belair “a phenomenal athlete.” This is a firsthand account from a training colleague, but it is not a published standardized table of lift results, so it supports a claim about athletic performance rather than a definitive title for raw strength. Alicia Fox: Athena’s pound-for-pound pick
In the same interview, Athena named Fox as the strongest pound for pound among the wrestlers she had faced, describing her as petite and lean. That is Athena’s informed opinion based on personal experience, not a measured comparison of current lifting totals. It also answers a different question from who can lift the most weight overall: pound-for-pound strength takes body size into account.
What does Tatum Paxley’s powerlifting background show?
A March 15, 2026 Wrestling Inc. report quoting Going Ringside described Paxley as having a powerlifting background and becoming a multi-time powerlifting champion. Crucially, Paxley said she did not know how strong she was at the time of the interview and was “nowhere near as strong as I was when I got hired.” Her history makes her a relevant strength-sport candidate, but her earlier competitive background should not be presented as evidence of her current maximum lifts. Why powerlifting results do not settle the wrestling question
Formal powerlifting offers a clearer model for comparison: competitors perform the squat, bench press, and deadlift under meet rules, and results are organized by weight class. The International Powerlifting Federation’s 2026 World Classic Championships women’s results report those lifts and totals for meet competitors. They do not include a comparable test of the wrestlers discussed here, so the meet results cannot establish a wrestling ranking. International Powerlifting Federation championship results.
For example, the federation’s results list Elizabeth Craven’s 187.5 kg deadlift in the 52 kg Masters 2 division at the June 14, 2026 competition. That is an official powerlifting result for that athlete and division—not a figure for any professional wrestler. Such context illustrates why a real comparison needs a specified lift, rules, weight class, and date.

So who is the strongest woman in wrestling today?
The evidence supports different answers depending on the measure: Athena’s account points to Belair in Performance Center athletic competition, Fox in her pound-for-pound judgment, and Paxley as a wrestler with a powerlifting past whose current strength she says has declined from her hiring period. None of these sources establishes a universal strongest wrestler or provides current, comparable maximum-lift results. A single definitive ranking would go beyond what the available evidence shows.
