What happens in the Karen Pirie Season 2 finale? In a spoiler-light first look, DI Karen Pirie is close to solving her second case—but mounting pressure makes her check in with a fellow detective as the investigation reaches a critical point. The third and final episode follows the 1984 kidnapping of Catriona and Adam Grant; its preview teases a race to identify those responsible, not the case’s resolution.
What the Season 2 finale sneak peek reveals
The preview’s central tension is that Pirie is nearing an answer just as pressure around the investigation intensifies. She checks in with a fellow detective, but the available description does not identify that colleague or establish the clip’s exact dialogue or on-screen action. It also does not reveal how the case ends.
The investigation concerns the kidnapping of Catriona Grant and her two-year-old son, Adam, in 1984. After a dramatic turn, Pirie must move quickly to find those responsible as pressure builds from multiple sides. The preview frames the finale as a time-sensitive investigation, rather than offering a full recap or a confirmed solution.
