The “8 Great” title does not correspond to a studio-confirmed list of eight cars. The strongest documented standouts from 2017’s The Fate of the Furious include Dom’s custom Ice Charger, Hobbs’s International MXT and Dodge Ram, Roman’s 2004 Bentley GT, and Tej’s Ripsaw. Here’s what the available official sources confirm—and where they stop short.
What cars are in The Fate of the Furious?
Comcast’s 2017 announcement for a promotional vehicle display at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk names five vehicles associated with the film: Dom’s Ice Charger, Hobbs’s International MXT and Dodge Ram, Roman’s 2004 Bentley GT, and Tej’s Ripsaw. Comcast describes this as a display selection; it is not a complete inventory of every car in the movie.
The film is a 2017 action thriller directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Chris Morgan. Universal’s synopsis places the story across Cuba, New York City, and the Arctic—settings that help explain why its vehicles range from a classic American muscle car to rugged off-road machines. Confirmed cars and what’s documented about them
| Vehicle | Film association | What the source establishes |
|---|---|---|
| 1970 Dodge Charger, converted into the Ice Charger | Dom | Comcast describes the movie build as a souped-up Charger intended for snow and ice terrain, with a 6.2-liter V8 reported at 707 horsepower. |
| International MXT | Hobbs | Named by Comcast as one of the film’s display vehicles; further technical specifications are not stated in that announcement. |
| Dodge Ram | Hobbs | Named by Comcast as one of the film’s display vehicles; further technical specifications are not stated in that announcement. |
| 2004 Bentley GT | Roman Pearce | Comcast identifies it as a 2004 Bentley GT. The announcement does not establish a more exact trim. |
| Ripsaw | Tej | Named by Comcast as Tej’s vehicle; the announcement does not specify a model variant. |
Vehicle identifications and Ice Charger details in the table come from Comcast’s announcement about the promotional display. Its Ice Charger figure describes the custom film vehicle, not the output of an ordinary production 1970 Charger.

Why the Ice Charger stands out
The Ice Charger is Dom’s 1970 Dodge Charger transformed for the movie’s icy terrain. Comcast reported that the film build used a 6.2-liter V8 producing 707 horsepower. Those figures are a description of the customized movie car in the 2017 promotional announcement, not a specification for the original production model or every Charger of that year.
The other confirmed vehicles broaden the lineup beyond muscle cars: the International MXT and Dodge Ram are associated with Hobbs, while Roman’s Bentley GT and Tej’s Ripsaw add distinct silhouettes to the display. The available announcement identifies them but does not provide a comparable set of engine, power, or modification details, so a balanced technical ranking would go beyond what it establishes.

Is there an official list of eight cars?
No complete studio-verified list of eight cars is established by the available official film pages or Comcast’s display announcement. The number in “8 Great” should therefore be treated as a headline framing device, not as proof of an official top-eight selection. Universal’s film pages provide the movie’s synopsis and release information, while Comcast names a confirmed selection rather than an exhaustive catalog.
That distinction matters if you are identifying a particular car from a scene or compiling a complete movie-car list: the named vehicles above are supportable, but adding further models, years, drivers, or a ranked order would require confirmation from a source that specifically documents them.
