Several longtime Jackass performers are back in Jackass: Best and Last, which Paramount+ says began streaming exclusively on its service on September 24, 2026. The available reporting supports a useful update on the best-documented original regulars, but not a verified ranking of the “15 biggest” stars: no canonical top 15 or ranking method is established. Here is what is known about the core cast, their work beyond the franchise, and how their involvement differs today.
Who is back in the latest Jackass movie?
Paramount+’s September 24, 2026 guide lists Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man (Jason Acuña), Dave England, Danger Ehren (Ehren McGhehey), Preston Lacy, Rachel Wolfson, Jasper, Dark Shark (Compston Wilson), Poopies (Sean McInerney), and Zach Holmes in Jackass: Best and Last. Jeff Tremaine is identified as the director. The guide describes the film as a gathering of franchise cast members for new stunts and highlights. Paramount+’s guide is the source for that lineup and its stated streaming availability; the cast list is not a ranking of the franchise’s biggest stars.

The Associated Press review, dated June 25, 2026, calls the movie the fifth and final main installment. It describes Knoxville, who was injured by a bull in Jackass Forever, as taking a ringmaster role rather than participating in the same way. That is the AP’s characterization of his role, not a statement attributed here to the filmmakers. Read the AP review.
Where are the original Jackass stars now?
This is an editorial selection of original regulars with documented updates, not a popularity ranking. Paramount’s current cast guide establishes that several familiar performers remain connected to the franchise; the post-show details below come from their official biographies or Exclaim’s 2026 retrospective. Where a source describes past work, it is identified as past rather than assumed to be a current venture.

#1 Best Overall
Johnny Knoxville
Knoxville co-created Jackass with Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze. Beyond performing, his career has included film acting and production work. His official website currently promotes the official Jackass podcast, hosted by Knoxville and Tremaine. He is also listed in Paramount+’s cast guide for Best and Last. Knoxville’s official site has the current podcast information.
Steve-O (Stephen Glover)
Steve-O’s official biography describes his work as a touring performer with The Bucket List, a YouTube creator, and host of Wild Ride with Steve-O; it also identifies his memoir, Professional Idiot. His career has included stand-up comedy and Wildboyz with Chris Pontius. He is listed in the latest film’s cast guide. His official bio mentions sobriety, but the duration it gives is time-sensitive and should not be treated as a current count without a newly dated confirmation. Steve-O’s official biography lists his work and book.
Chris Pontius
Pontius has appeared in the franchise sequels and co-starred with Steve-O in Wildboyz, alongside selected acting work. He is also listed in the Best and Last cast guide. Exclaim’s retrospective documents these parts of his career but does not establish that he is inactive today.
Wee Man (Jason Acuña)
After his Jackass appearances, Acuña worked in television and film and was involved in business ventures including Chronic Tacos and Nullity Skateboards, according to Exclaim. Those are retrospective details, not confirmation that either business is currently operating. He is among the performers listed for Best and Last.

Preston Lacy
Lacy contributed writing and ideas early in Jackass and later worked in stand-up, writing, television appearances, and podcasts, as described by Exclaim. He is listed in Paramount+’s current cast guide.
Dave England
England was a professional snowboarder before and alongside his Jackass work. Exclaim reports later snowboarding-related projects, acting, and creator activity. He is listed in the cast guide for Best and Last.
Rank #4
Danger Ehren (Ehren McGhehey)
McGhehey has made television and film appearances and appeared on podcasts, according to Exclaim. The publication reports that he discussed real-estate investing on Wild Ride! in 2022. It also reports that his paycheck for Jackass: The Movie was $65,000; that is Exclaim’s retrospective account, not an independently verified financial disclosure. He is listed in the latest cast guide.
Bam Margera
Margera’s involvement should be described narrowly rather than inferred from the status of other cast members. Exclaim reports that he did not perform in the film covered by its retrospective, appeared in archival footage, and was invited to that film’s premiere. This does not establish his participation in every Jackass installment or provide a comprehensive account of his present health, residence, or projects.
Ryan Dunn
Dunn died in a car crash in 2011, as reported by Exclaim. He is no longer part of the cast’s present-day activities; his place in the franchise is carried forward through his past work and archival appearances.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why this is not a ranked list of 15
The documented material supports updates on fewer than 15 original core performers. The latest Paramount+ lineup includes later participants, but being listed in a current installment does not establish that someone belongs among the fifteen biggest original stars. Expanding this into a top-15 ranking would require a defensible definition of “biggest” and comparable reporting on additional people. Exclaim’s retrospective offers background on the stars covered here: “Where Are the Stars of ‘Jackass’ Now?”
Quick Recap
What the cast updates show
- Knoxville and Tremaine remain directly associated with the franchise through its official podcast, while several familiar performers are listed in the 2026 cast guide.
- Post-show paths vary: Steve-O’s official bio emphasizes touring, online video, podcasting, and writing; other cast members’ documented work includes acting, stand-up, snowboarding, and past business ventures.
- Margera’s reported archival appearance in one film and Dunn’s death in 2011 are distinct circumstances, not interchangeable forms of absence from the cast.
