The word “new” in the original announcement is therefore historical. A March 2026 report covered Thalía’s later album announcement, Todo suena mejor en cumbia, for April 17, 2026; see LOS40’s report.
Is it an album or an EP?
The naming differs by source: Thalía’s official release page calls A Mucha Honra a “new EP,” while Apple Music labels it an album. A neutral description is simply a nine-song release; the source-specific labels should not be mistaken for different editions.

What did Thalía say about the release?
Sony Music México attributed this description to Thalía: “Mi próximo álbum A Mucha Honra, es una celebración de mis raíces mexicanas.” In English, she described the project as a celebration of her Mexican roots. This is her stated intent, rather than a claim about critical consensus.
Sony’s announcement also identifies “Troca” as a single from the expected album and highlights its collaboration with Ángela Aguilar. The platform listings credit Estilo Sin Limite on “Choro,” Grupo Firme on “Te Va a Doler,” and Deorro on the remix.
