March 7–10 is not confirmed as the date of a current Stuff Your Kindle event: the year, organizer and event listing have not been established. These promotions are independently organized, so check the specific organizer’s page before relying on the dates. If you find a matching event, use its book list to choose a retailer, then confirm that the ebook is still free at checkout.

What “Stuff Your Kindle Day” means

“Stuff Your Kindle” is a common name for free ebook promotions organized by authors and other independent event organizers. It does not refer to one central annual event calendar or guarantee a single date. The Stuff Your Kindle directory describes the events as community-driven and warns that details can change.

The directory dates the first event to December 26, 2014, organized by romance author Zoe York. It reports that the event featured more than 60 titles from 35 authors; that is a historical figure, not a current event count.

Are there free books on March 7–10?

A matching event for March 7–10 could not be verified. The year, organizer, genre, event length and live book list are unresolved, so these dates should not be treated as confirmed or assumed to mean the next March 7–10. A current Romance Bookworms listing, for example, describes an August 10, 2026 event, not a March 7–10 event. Check the organizer’s own listing for the dates you have in mind.

How to find and claim an event ebook

  1. Find the organizer’s event page. Start with the organizer’s listing or a directory entry, and check the stated dates and genre. Events are independent, and one organizer’s schedule does not establish another’s.
  2. Choose a listed retailer for the individual book. Event pages may link to Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble Nook, Kobo or Google Play. Store options can differ by title.
  3. Check the retailer’s price before claiming. Open the store listing and make sure it shows a price of zero. Prices can change after an organizer posts a book, so the event page alone is not a guarantee that it remains free.
  4. Claim the ebook through that retailer. Use the retailer’s app or compatible device to read it; a Kindle e-reader is not required if the title is offered through another supported store.

Do you need a Kindle?

No. “Kindle” in the event name does not mean that a Kindle device is required. The reviewed Romance Bookworms and Crime Edition pages offer retailer choices beyond Amazon, including Apple Books, Nook, Kobo and Google Play. Pick a store that supports your preferred reading app or device, and check that the particular book is available there.

Why an ebook may stop showing as free

Event listings and retailer prices are time-sensitive. The organizer directory notes that event details can change, and the Crime Edition page advises readers to verify a book’s price. Check the retailer at the moment you claim the title rather than relying on an old listing or a saved link.

Amazon’s timing rules apply to Amazon promotions, not to every store or every event. Amazon says eligible KDP Select ebooks can use a Free Book Promotion for up to five days during a 90-day KDP Select enrollment period. Authors must schedule it at least one day in advance; the schedule is usually based on midnight Pacific time, and readers in other time zones may see the price change later. These rules do not establish that a particular March 7–10 event exists or that every listed book uses KDP Select. See Amazon KDP’s Free Book Promotions guidance and its KDP Select overview.

What to verify before you rely on the dates

  • The year and exact dates on the organizer’s page.
  • The event’s genre and whether its book list is live for those dates.
  • The retailer link available for each title you want.
  • A zero price on the retailer’s listing before claiming the ebook.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
