Before the Kansas City Chiefs played the New Orleans Saints on October 7, 2024, contemporaneous coverage attributed to Travis Kelce a statement that Taylor Swift planned to attend. The Associated Press reported after the game that she was there at Arrowhead Stadium.
What Kelce reportedly said before the game
A Yahoo Entertainment pregame report attributed a yes answer to Kelce when asked whether Swift would attend. The article itself is not available to verify the exact wording or interview context, so the statement is best understood as a paraphrase of contemporaneous coverage rather than a confirmed quotation.
Swift’s attendance was confirmed after the game
In its October 7, 2024 report, the Associated Press said Swift was back at Arrowhead Stadium to watch Kelce and the Chiefs play New Orleans. The report noted that she had missed Kansas City’s previous two road games and that the game fell during a break in her Eras Tour; the tour was scheduled to resume Friday in Miami.
