The outing was part of the lead-up to the Australian stop on her Think Later Tour.
What happened on Rottnest Island?
McRae and members of her touring party took a catamaran from the Fremantle area to Rottnest Island on Thursday, November 7, 2024. PerthNow reported that the vessel was named Serendipitous and was 60 feet long. Footage shared by backup dancer Maycee Steele showed McRae jumping into the water and taking in the island with members of the tour party. PerthNow’s November 7 report covered the footage, while a later PerthNow account of the boat also identified it as Serendipitous.
How did the outing connect to her Perth show?
The group returned by boat to Fremantle after the island visit. Guitarist Zach Fenske described the return voyage to PerthNow as: “The seas were beautiful yet brutal on the return.” McRae was due to perform the following evening, Friday, November 8, at Red Hill Auditorium. PerthNow reported the concert was sold out. The November 8 report connected the Rottnest and Fremantle visit with the concert.
What was the Think Later Tour?
The Perth date was part of McRae’s 2024 Think Later Tour, which supported her second album, Think Later. The tour announcement lists “Fri Nov 08 – Perth, Australia – Red Hill Auditorium.” Live Nation’s announcement, syndicated via Ritzau, establishes the tour and album context; it is not a source for current ticket availability.

What the reports do—and do not—establish
The accounts document a specific day in November 2024, not a current itinerary or an announcement from McRae about future travel. PerthNow credited the shared footage to dancer Maycee Steele and attributed the return-sea comment to guitarist Zach Fenske; the reporting does not provide a direct statement from McRae about the outing. The event reports also do not establish present-day boat schedules, charter availability, or prices. For current venue information, consult Red Hill Auditorium’s official website.
