In a PerthNow report published on 29 December 2021, Australian animal-rights activist Tash Peterson said she started an OnlyFans account partly to help her become a full-time activist. The same report recounted her description of growing up a tomboy and becoming more comfortable with feminine expression later in life. Those statements describe what she said at the time; the report does not establish her account’s current status or her present-day motivations.
Why Tash Peterson said she started an OnlyFans account
Peterson’s stated reason, as reported by PerthNow on 29 December 2021, was that the account could help her become a full-time animal-rights activist. This is her explanation as reported, not independently verified information about the account’s earnings or how they were used.
How she described growing up
The report said Peterson discussed her childhood and personal presentation in a 42-minute video posted to social media. She described herself as a “complete tomboy” who wanted to be “one of the boys.” As quoted by PerthNow, she said: “I just loved the feeling of being more masculine.”
What she said about femininity and clothing
PerthNow reported that Peterson said she first bought makeup at 23 and had never worn lingerie until about three months before the video. She described becoming more comfortable with her feminine side in recent years. The article presents these details as changes in her personal expression, not as a recommendation or a broader claim about how people develop.

The report also said Peterson addressed criticism of her clothing and accusations that her activism promoted her account. She argued that women should be able to choose what they wear and make decisions about their own bodies.
What the 2021 report does—and does not—establish
PerthNow described Peterson as 26 at the time of publication. Its account offers a snapshot of statements attributed to her in 2021; it does not verify her current age, whether the OnlyFans account remains active, or what motivates her now.
