For the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final, Tash Sultana was announced as a guitarist in Snoop Dogg’s band—not as a separate headline act. The AFL’s six Australian performers also included Baker Boy, Emma Donovan, Kee’ahn, Vera Blue and Mike Brady, each with a different role in the pre-game program.
Who was performing at the 2025 AFL Grand Final?
The AFL announced the Australian acts on September 14, 2025, alongside headline performer Snoop Dogg. The pre-game entertainment was scheduled to begin at 1:30pm AEST on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Tash Sultana with Snoop Dogg’s band
Sultana was to join Snoop Dogg’s band for a guitar performance. The AFL announcement quoted Sultana saying: “It’s not every day you get chosen to join Snoop’s band and perform at the AFL Grand Final in front of 100,000 people, with millions more tuning in around the world.” The attendance and audience figures were expectations described by the AFL, not verified event results.
Baker Boy with Emma Donovan and Kee’ahn
Baker Boy was announced to perform with a choir featuring Emma Donovan and Kee’ahn. It was his second Grand Final appearance after performing at the 2021 event. The AFL quoted him: “I’m honoured to be invited by the AFL again to perform at the Grand Final. When I performed in Perth in 2021, I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I’m thrilled to be on the lineup again and to share the stage with Snoop. It’s gonna be huge!”

Vera Blue singing the national anthem
Vera Blue was named to perform the Australian National Anthem. In the AFL announcement, she said: “I feel incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to perform the National Anthem at Australia’s biggest sporting event. The AFL Grand Final is the pinnacle of our national sporting calendar, and I’m so proud to be such a part of such a significant moment”.

Mike Brady was to perform “Up There Cazaly” during the Toyota AFL retiree motorcade.

Was Tash Sultana a standalone headliner?
No. The AFL described Sultana’s part as a guitar performance with Snoop Dogg’s band. Snoop Dogg was the headline performer; Sultana was one of the Australian artists joining the program.
