At launch, news reports listed it for $8, before shipping where applicable, and said 5,000 bars were made. Those are historical launch details—not a confirmed current price or indication that the soap is still available.
What was Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss?
Bathwater Bliss was a limited-edition Dr. Squatch bar soap created with actor Sydney Sweeney. The company connected the idea to Sweeney’s earlier Dr. Squatch advertisement and fan requests for her bathwater; the product was not simply a proposed joke. The Los Angeles Times reported that fan requests helped inspire the release.
Sweeney described the concept at launch this way: “When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap.” She called the result “weird in the best way,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
How much did it cost, and when did it go on sale?
The San Francisco Chronicle and Complex reported a launch-era price of $8. Complex noted that shipping cost extra. The planned public sale date was June 6, 2025. The Chronicle also reported a giveaway for 100 winners before the sale.

These reports describe the planned 2025 launch, not today’s price or stock. The available reporting does not verify whether Bathwater Bliss can currently be bought through Dr. Squatch, Amazon, or another seller.
What was in the soap?
Launch coverage described a medium-grit exfoliating bar with sand, pine bark extract, and bathwater attributed to Sweeney. The scent was characterized as outdoors-inspired, with pine, fir, and moss notes. The Independent reported Sweeney’s account to GQ of how the water was collected: “When we were at the [Dr. Squatch] shoot, they had a tub for me. And I actually got in there and I took some soap, and we had a nice little bath and they took the water. So it’s my real bath water.”

The reports reviewed do not provide a complete ingredient label, so the listed materials should not be treated as the full formula. Dr. Squatch marketing executive John Ludeke framed the campaign as a way to draw attention to personal-care ingredients, telling RetailWire: “We thrive on ideas that make you laugh and encourage you to pay attention to the ingredients in your personal care products.” That is the company’s explanation of the campaign, not an independent evaluation of the soap.
