The trailer’s central tension is whether Mancini can resume surgery while coping with the effects of a traumatic experience. UOL Splash’s October 16, 2024 trailer report describes Ícaro as an incorruptible young man from São Paulo’s periphery. Newly graduated, he cannot begin residency because of education debt. Mancini is a renowned surgeon hoping to operate again after trauma. The pair’s decision to treat criminals connects their personal and financial pressures to the show’s crime-thriller plot.
Why does the surgeon in Sutura have hand tremors?
In the series’ fictional backstory, Mancini’s tremors follow trauma. The available synopsis and trailer coverage do not name a medical diagnosis, so it would be inaccurate to identify a specific condition or treat the character’s symptoms as a confirmed clinical case.

Abreu has described Mancini as a layered character rather than a straightforward heroic doctor. In an interview with CNN Brasil, she said that, despite being celebrated, Mancini had morally mistreated residents; she is now returning from leave with a serious emotional problem. The tremors are part of that return-to-work conflict, not the entirety of the character.

UOL Splash reported on October 16, 2024 that Sutura would premiere on November 22, 2024. The Academia Brasileira de Cinema record names Amazon Prime as the exhibitor. Those are release-period details; they do not establish whether the series is currently available in every country or region.

Apple TV’s Brazil catalog lists the series as a 2024 drama, names Humberto Morais as Ícaro and Cláudia Abreu as Dra. Mancini, and gives it a 16 rating. Its season synopsis describes the characters uniting as “médicos do crime” to address their problems and confront the dangers of a double life. Catalog listings and ratings can be territory-specific.
