It has ended: Redfin announced that Kiel Murphy of El Mirage, Arizona, won the home in Denver, Colorado.
What was The Great American Home Search?
Rocket and Redfin built the promotion around their February 8, 2026, Big Game commercial. The ad contained clues to a home listing, and Redfin’s mobile app was the place to continue the hunt. The campaign was not the separate Salesforce and MrBeast “Million Dollar Puzzle”; that was a different Super Bowl-related promotion.
Redfin said the hunt was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET after the commercial aired. Over the next 48 hours, participants would receive six app-exclusive prompts and use the app’s home-search tools and filters to find the advertised property. The first eligible participant to solve all six clues and identify the home would win. Geography creator Trevor Rainbolt helped design the clues, according to Redfin’s campaign announcement; the creative account from LBBOnline describes the commercial and app as parts of the clue experience.
Who won, and where was the prize home?
Redfin announced Kiel Murphy, who is from El Mirage, Arizona, as the winner on February 26, 2026. The winning home is in Denver, Colorado. The winner announcement says Murphy completed the final home-selection step in 19 seconds; that figure refers to that last step, not the full time spent solving the hunt.

Who was eligible to enter?
Redfin’s campaign announcement summarized eligibility as legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., subject to age requirements in the Official Rules. The company said entry was through the Redfin mobile app and no purchase was necessary. The announcement is a summary, not the complete rules, so it does not establish detailed exclusions, state-specific age cutoffs, tax treatment, or prize-transfer and closing-cost terms. Those details should not be assumed.

The campaign paired the spectacle of a Big Game ad with a task that required viewers to keep engaging after it aired. Rocket Companies Chief Marketing Officer Jonathan Mildenhall described the idea this way in Redfin’s announcement: “Today’s consumers across every demographic are seeking meaning and participation, not just messages.”
