What was the Duracell Super Bowl ad with Tom Brady?
“Brady Reboost” aired during Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025. Duracell described it as the company’s first Big Game advertisement and built the campaign around its “Power Boost Ingredients” message. Duracell’s announcement introduced the campaign the following day.
The commercial pairs Brady, then appearing as a FOX NFL analyst, with FOX play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. It begins like a game broadcast, until Brady abruptly stops functioning. The Duracell Scientist diagnoses a battery problem, swaps the batteries, and brings him back to life. The joke turns the idea of needing a boost into a literal reboot.
Was Tom Brady a robot in the 2025 Super Bowl commercial?
Only within the ad’s premise. The spot imagines Brady as a battery-powered figure who can freeze and restart when his batteries are changed. It is a playful way to dramatize the campaign’s battery message, not a factual depiction of Brady.

Duracell’s release quoted Brady saying the campaign resonated with him because it was “all about being built different.” That line is part of the advertisement’s brand framing, rather than independent evidence of battery performance.

If you are looking for the product featured, “Duracell AA alkaline batteries” is the relevant description. Check the size and chemistry required by your device before buying: the commercial establishes the AA batteries in its story, not a recommendation for every device or battery-powered product.

iSpot.tv listed the commercial as a 30-second spot and credited VaynerMedia as its agency in its 2025 Super Bowl advertiser preview. Zappi’s Super Bowl 2025 report lists 73% unaided brand recall and 24% laughter for its ad panel; those figures describe that report’s panel, not the general population.
